**Welcome to the Energy Modelling Community Forum!**

This forum brings together users and developers of energy modelling and financial planning tools—including **OnSSET, OnStove, NISMOD, MAED, OSeMOSYS, CLEWs, FlexTool, FFRM, MINFin** , and **FINPLAN**.

Use this space to:

- 🛠 Troubleshoot technical issues
- 📚 Share and discover new publications
- 📅 Announce or learn about events

Each **tool** has its own **category** , and within that, you’ll find four sub-categories:

- **Troubleshooting**
- **Events**
- **Papers**
- **Random-Related Content**

Here’s how to contribute:

### 🛠 Posting a Troubleshooting Query

1. Go to the relevant tool (e.g., `OSeMOSYS > Troubleshooting`).
2. Click **+ New Topic**.
3. Give your post a **clear and descriptive title** , e.g.:  
`"Model runs without errors but output is missing"`
4. In the post body, include:

- What you were trying to do
- The error or issue you encountered
- Steps to reproduce the issue (if possible)
- Any relevant logs, code snippets, screenshots, or files
- Your tool/environment setup (e.g., Python version, solver, interface used)

**Tip:** The more detail you provide, the faster others can help!

### 📅 Announcing or Sharing an Event

1. Go to the relevant tool’s `Events` sub-category.
2. Click **+ New Topic**.
3. Use a clear title with the event name and date, e.g.:  
`"OSeMOSYS Training Workshop – Nov 2025"`
4. Include:

- **What** the event is (e.g., workshop, webinar, hackathon)
- **When** it’s happening (include timezone)
- **Where** (online or physical location with a link or address)
- **Who** it’s for (beginners, advanced users, researchers, etc.)
- **How to register** (include sign-up link or contact)
- Any relevant agendas, speaker bios, or materials

**Bonus:** After the event, feel free to edit the post or comment to share slides, recordings, or follow-up links.

### 📚 Sharing a New Publication

1. Navigate to the relevant tool’s `Papers` sub-category.
2. Click **+ New Topic**.
3. Title your post with the publication name and year, e.g.:  
`"Exploring Rural Electrification Pathways with OnSSET (2024)"`
4. Include in the post:

- Full citation (with DOI or link)
- A short summary or abstract
- Key findings or contributions
- How the tool was used
- Any links to datasets, code, or supplementary material

**Why share?** It helps the community stay up to date and builds recognition for your work.
