Access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy is an enabler in economic development, disaster resilience, healthcare delivery, and livelihood improvement. To support partners and stakeholders effectively plan and expand energy interventions, WRI India along with partners developed the Energy Access Explorer (EAE). EAE is an interactive, open-source geospatial platform that visualises energy supply and demand alongside socio-economic and demographic data.
This webinar aims to bring together partners from different states and sectors for a panel discussion on how they utilise data-informed planning using EAE in their daily operations and strategic planning.
Our objectives are to:
- Introduce Energy Access Explorer: Provide a high-level overview of the EAE, its functionalities, and the spatial datasets it houses.
- Demonstrate how different state departments across India utilise geospatial data to inform policy, target interventions, and allocate resources efficiently.
- Create a forum for cross-geography knowledge exchange.
