Here’s how to contribute:
Posting a Troubleshooting Query
- Go to the relevant tool (e.g.,
OSeMOSYS > Troubleshooting). - Click + New Topic.
- Give your post a clear and descriptive title, e.g.:
"Model runs without errors but output is missing" - In the post body, include:
- What you were trying to do
- The error or issue you encountered
- Steps to reproduce the issue (if possible)
- Any relevant logs, code snippets, screenshots, or files
- Your tool/environment setup (e.g., Python version, solver, interface used)
Tip: The more detail you provide, the faster others can help!
Announcing or Sharing an Event
- Go to the relevant tool’s
Eventssub-category. - Click + New Topic.
- Use a clear title with the event name and date, e.g.:
"OSeMOSYS Training Workshop – Nov 2025" - Include:
- What the event is (e.g., workshop, webinar, hackathon)
- When it’s happening (include timezone)
- Where (online or physical location with a link or address)
- Who it’s for (beginners, advanced users, researchers, etc.)
- How to register (include sign-up link or contact)
- Any relevant agendas, speaker bios, or materials
Bonus: After the event, feel free to edit the post or comment to share slides, recordings, or follow-up links.
Sharing a New Publication
- Navigate to the relevant tool’s
Paperssub-category. - Click + New Topic.
- Title your post with the publication name and year, e.g.:
"Exploring Rural Electrification Pathways with OnSSET (2024)" - Include in the post:
- Full citation (with DOI or link)
- A short summary or abstract
- Key findings or contributions
- How the tool was used
- Any links to datasets, code, or supplementary material
