Hi Onsset Team,
After i ran Onsset as output i obtain the investment requirement for a certain technology with the related added installed capacity.
The problem is that if i divide the overall investment by the overall added installed capacity the value i obtain is lower than the CAPEX i choose for such technology.
For example:
SA Diesel CAPEX= 1000 $/KW
overall SA Diesel added capacity = 13.9 GW
overall SA Diesel investment = 10 bilion USD
10/13.9 = 720 USD/KW, which is lower than the CAPEX i choose.
Often this happens also with the SA PV in the on-line GEP.
Is there some economical reason for this behavoir?
