Question - Modelling - MUIO - Osemosys

Hello everyone! Not sure if I can post a question about that, and not sure if I can post it here! So let me know if this is not appropriate, and will delete it.

I am starting to use Osemosys – Muio 5.5, and I would like to have opinions about how I should structure my RES.

I am planning on doing regional energy modelling, and I am curious about the idea of using building prototypes (archetypes) similar to those of the US Department of Energy to support my modelling. The building prototypes I used are developed by a Canadian University, and they split buildings in many dozens of building types (by activity, year of construction, etc.). For each of the building prototypes, I have their daily consumption for space heating (gas and electricity), water heating (gas and electricity), space cooling, others (appliances), etc. with values for each energy use in kwh/square meter per prototype.

I am trying to figure out which would be the best way to approach the RES with those building prototypes. My first instinct would be to use them as « final commodities » since I can fixate their Specified Annual Demand with Specified Demand Profil. But, that would mean having 60+ commodities in my RES and model. Is that too much?

Would that work? Or should I maybe consider exploring another approach (using the prototypes as “technologies” maybe?)?
