MUIO course hands-on checkpoint

Good day! Thank you for the hard work on the development and maintenance of this useful tool. I am learning to use it as part of the CCG course.

The nature of the hands-on exercises being structured to be progressively accomplished requires that every input must be filled in correctly starting at the onset. I find that in latter quizzes (e.g. HO7, HO9), I could not arrive at the correct answer despite rechecking my input in the past exercises at least twice. Moving further in the course, any unseen errors from my part possibly propagates further into the rest of the course.

Is it possible to have a downloadable “checkpoint” file that we can use as a basis for the rest of the course? In particular, I am moving towards modeling the sectors (Lecture 11, HO10). This would be incredibly helpful to continue the course without the input anxiety.

On a separate note, where would be the best place to provide feedback or report bugs? I would like to contribute to the improvement of the tool.

Dear @meleden, we have recently updated the quiz answers to address the inconsistencies that were reported. The answers are now aligned with the latest version of MUIO (v5.6).

Unfortunately, there are no formal checkpoints throughout the course. However, if you are facing any challenges, encounter bugs, or have any questions, this forum is the right place to ask them. We are more than happy to support you throughout your learning process.

Thanks @Fernando_Plazas for the help. I will give the quizzes a retry to check this.

As for the bugs, these are rather mundane than progress-blocking. Hence, I will indicate it here instead of creating a different thread.

  • Highlighting more than one cell in any of the data entry tables expands the selection to x+1, j-1
  • “Production by technology by mode” adds commodity, instead of technology, to the rows shelf
